Akriva Type 56-2

The AKRIVA Type 56-2 is a full-steel gas blowback reproduction of the Chinese Type 56-2, featuring a stamped steel receiver, side-folding steel stock and distinctive Bakelite-style furniture.

The T56-2 differs from the other rifles in AKRIVA's Type 56 range through its later-pattern furniture and folding-stock configuration. The rifle features a stamped and riveted steel receiver, reinforced steel trunnions and a steel receiver cover, with the traditional wooden furniture replaced by brown bakelite components.

Its side-folding stock incorporates a steel folding mechanism and distinctive shaped side panels. The furniture includes matching brown handguards and pistol grip, while the receiver retains Chinese-pattern markings and the conventional right-side selector arrangement.

Internally, the rifle features a steel bolt carrier with a two-stage recoil spring assembly. The bolt carrier has a grey phosphate finish, while the external steel components receive a hot alkaline oxidation treatment.

The fire-control group incorporates steel components and a triple-strand hammer spring arrangement. Semi-automatic and fully automatic firing modes are provided.

The T56-2 is fitted with AKRIVA's proprietary gas blowback mechanism, rotary adjustable hop-up and a 405 mm inner barrel. The design also features a removable front barrel assembly, allowing access to the hop-up components from the front of the rifle.

Overall length is approximately 874 mm with the stock extended and 654 mm when folded.
